Tanzim is currently the President of the University of Calgary's Debate Society. He won the 2024 Diefenbaker Cup and advanced to Finals at the 2025 Diefenbaker Cup, Seattle IV, and ESL Finals at UCLA IV. He has also been a semi-finalist at the Canadian Universities' Debating Championship and at the Hugill Cup.
